Happy Halloween

10-31-08 - We went trick-or-treating with the Omers in Lee's Summit. Katie had fun with Dorothy (aka Danielle) and Toto. The weather was perfect and the Omers' neighbors handed out good treats! We intended to carve a jack-o-lantern this year, but Katie protected her fellow pumpkins and said NO. She said it would hurt them. Maybe she took this costume thing a little too personal.

10-25-08 - We had a dress rehearsal for Halloween with a chilli supper at Katie's pre-school church and Shawnee Haunted Town. At Katie's pre-school church we ate supper then trick-or-treated at the different classrooms. And at Haunted Shawnee Town, a recreated old settlers town, the area merchants hand out treats to the kids. Katie choose to be a pumpkin this year.

10-5-08 & 10-12-08 - Katie went to two pumpkin patches this year. She likes to play the games, pet the animals, ride the train and go on the hayrides. The bottom picture is of Katie and Danielle on the train. The top picture is from her second visit to pumpkin patch.

8-29-08 - Katie is pumpkin crazy!

Pre-School

9-8-08 - Katie started pre-school! She is in the 3-year old green room and her teacher is Miss Tina. Katie says her favorite things about pre-school are lunch and playing. And we have learned that coloring is not one of her favorite things to do. Katie says she is friends with all the kids in her class of 5 other girls and 3 boys. She goes to pre-school on Monday and Wednesday.

Soccer

9-6-08 - Katie is learning to play soccer. There are no games, just practices. She likes it, but says "soccer tires me out". She is pictured here in her soccer outfit -- something she and Kevin shopped for, headband and all.

Happy Birthday

8/31/08 -- Katie celebrated her 3rd birthday with cousins Lexi, Danielle, Lauren, Kate and Sara; Grandma Toodledoo and Grandma Mick; aunts & uncles Michele&Steve, Marci&Mark, Beth&Dan; and friends Julia & Sondra. The party was held at Pump-it-Up, an inflatable playground. The girls went WILD and played hard (these picture was taken after 1 1/2 hours of Pump-it-Up fun). Katie picked Little Mermaid for her birthday theme. Ariel is Katie's favorite princess because she swims in the water. We so appreciated our out-of-town relatives making the trip to celebrate Katie's birthday. Your presence made it very special!
